Lauki Halwa Recipe with step by step instructions.తెలుగు వెర్షన్.
When I was a child my mother used to prepare Lauki/Bottle gourd halwa very often.she used to prepare it with the bottle gourds which were grown in our backyard.after preparing, she used to put the hot halwa on the banana leaf and serve it.it was a heavenly taste.missing my sweet mom and halwa :(.the bottle gourd that I had used for making this recipe was grown organically at our own farm.
I didn’t use Khova for this recipe.used milk instead.but adding a little khova enhances the taste.the consistency becomes even harder and looks almost like lauki barfi.it tastes less sweet while cooking.but once when it gets cool tastes normal sweetness.so do not add more sugar while cooking.you can also use sweetened condensed milk instead of milk.it can be prepared on all auspicious occasions within a less time and less effort.you can serve it hot or chilled.but Chilled tastes even better.so I always prefer the chilled one.I hope you try and enjoy this recipe.
